ABOUT CLEAR55®
The Clear55® provides a logical combination of handling, comfort and vision through careful design and manufacture. It has been designed to be worn by a wide variety of patients across many countries. As such its physical parameters take into account the inevitable range in corneal and aperture sizes that would be expected from country to country.
The 55% ultra pure methafilcon material provides a contact lens polymer that matches handling with fit compliance. The comfort of this lens is further enhanced by our Truform™ edge moulding and our unique tangential back surface.
A LOGICAL APPROACH TO FREQUENT REPLACEMENT
Clinical performance remains high with excellent centration and movement reported without sacrificing comfort. When compared to leading mid water content lenses, Clear55® exhibited equivalent clinical performance but demonstrated superior levels of conjunctival and corneal staining, further validating the design as well balanced.

Visual acuity is optimized over the power range and the optical design is tailored to balance the overall thickness and handling against the higher powers. This approach ensures that the oxygen transmission is maximized for any given power whilst optimizing comfort in the higher power range.
The peripheral and edge design provides a balance between excellent comfort and assured handling.
